Sadly, I can’t stop listening to this song. It’s stuck in my head. I wonder when I’ll get my 15 minutes of internet fame?

Run and tell that.

(also, if you didn’t know, this video was created because of this news special)

Geek out your twitter!

I interrupt your regularly schedule style blog… for a really important tidbit of information…

How to post to Twitter using commandline!

1. Create the Script.

Fire up your terminal and create a script with the following contents:

curl --basic --user "<User>:<Password>" --data-ascii "status=`echo $@|tr ' ' '+'`" "http://twitter.com/statuses/update.json"

Substituting <User> for your username and <Password> for your password, of course. The status= accepts your twitter status.

2. Save your script.

mv it to /usr/local/bin or and chmod u+x it.

3. Run it!

Run it like you run tings!

twitter "This is my status update!"

Success! I’m such a nerd that this makes me happy… now I can run terminal (I use it daily anyways) to update my twitter… with useless crap. Incredibly useless crap.

And… I’m done.

The year is winding down, and I am only now slowly appreciating the weekend fun. It started off with dinner at the Revolving restaurant @ The Skylon Tower in Niagara Falls - for Meezy’s company’s Christmas party. Many drinks were had in the hotel room, and the food was alright. What a decent Christmas party, though - paid hotel room and paid dinner… although I was starting to get a little dizzy. I had taken Meezy out for his birthday a few months back to the CN Tower’s 360 restaurant - and this was a very nice reminder of how dizzying and somewhat frightening (fear of heights) the whole ordeal could be. Wine makes it much more bearable, though. And not to mention, I didn’t have to foot a $200+ bill. For 2 people. For mediocre foods.

I digress.

Supreme Soul

Supreme Soul

Saturday evening, I got to see MY (second) FAVOURITEST DANCE CREW EVER. Yes, Caps lock is required… because Supreme Soul is worth more than caps locks can provide.

I somehow scored 2 free tickets to the event - Best Dance Crew Tour @ Koolhaus (featuring DJ Wish One from Jabbawockeez). From the flyer, only Supreme Soul, Super Crew and Fanny Pack (ugh) performed. Not sure what happened to So Real Cru, and I don’t really care, because my heart only beats for my Supreme Soul.

What a fabulous show.

Check out the 26 second video I took after the jump. It’s super shaky, but still, super awesome.

And today, we spent it shopping around town. Had to stop by Da Zone cause I heard that a great sale was going on - and it was! If you’re from Toronto, HIT IT UP… they’re moving and are selling all stock for an additional 20% off their already cheap ass prices. I bought a pair of KangaRoos waterproof winter boots for $36 (taxes included!). WHAT.

That’s pretty damn awesome cause I looked them up online as soon as I got home (to cure the guilt in me for shopping for myself instead of others), and they’re retailing for ~$140 CAD on walkingonacloud.com.

They are warm and squishy… and will solve my previous dilemna.
