The creature that lives here.

Now a whopping 9 months old. See him here @ 9 weeks old. Oh how he’s grown… but still cute as a button!

They put a big, huge smile on my face.

It’s been a while…. holidays have come and gone. A new year has started. A puppy has found a new home.
Meet Bailey! Our newest family member. He is a 9 week old Morkie (Maltese & Yorkshire Terrier) and he weighs about 4lbs. He’s the sweetest little pup I have ever laid my eyes on - and he’s so smart! I was never much of an animal person, but he has certainly converted me into a dog lover.
I feel like Maison Martin Margiela should have a doggie line…. no?
Also, I heart Cesar Millan. Dreamboat.
Is my beloved Kindle.
Thank you for always being there for me, little friend.
Okay, the last one didn’t make much sense, but I love it so. And if you’re wondering about the case, it’s a DVF case because I am a girly girl and goddammit, I will choose whatever the hell case I want. Haaaa.
I think the first 2 books say something about my quest for happiness and pleasure - and the likelihood that I’m experiencing a quarter-life crisis. Sigh.
Another reason why UPS sucks…
I was sitting at my desk at work, minding my own business, when all of a sudden, I get a package from UPS. Yay, goodies! I wasn’t expecting anything, but that’s okay! I open it with excitement, but find this:

A yearbook for UWO Medical & Dentistry 2010.
Hmmm. Confusion.
I didn’t go to Medical school, and actually, I didn’t even go to Western. Not only that, but I don’t know anyone that did (for Med anyway). I am thoroughly confused.
I chalk it up to UPS being stupid and me getting some poor girl’s yearbook. I don’t want to put too much effort into UPS’ mistake, but I will try my best to get this yearbook into the real recipients hands - I know all too well how it feels to lose packages. But dammit, UPS!!

From my thoughtful fiancé… A nice reminder of the Parisian sweets we feasted on a few weeks ago. What a nice surprise after dinner today :) And he cooks!
Ahhhh, moja laska!
I have been searching for rectangular-like tortoiseshell coloured pair of sunglasses for quite sometime. I have large cheeks so finding a good pair of sunnies is usually a project of its own. I was thinking about investing the time and effort to find Wunderkind cat-eye sunglasses (much like Olivia Palermo’s) but instead, I found a pair of old Miu Miu sunnies that I bought at least 6 years ago (or more?) in my accessories drawer.

I love them all over again.
(excuse my stupid pose, I’m pretty awkward in front of a camera)
Also, I’m wearing a new lipstick! MAC’s new Pro Longwear lipcreme in Unlimited. I’ve had a cup of tea and a glass of water, and it’s still on my lips. Two thumbs up!

Toronto is one of my loves!
Also - Boyfriend has a great shot of the Toronto skyline. What a copycat ;)
To celebrate my birthday, my wonderful and incredibly thoughtful girlfriends took me on an adventure - an eating in the dark adventure at O.NOIR!
What an interesting experience.
In a lit area (photo above), you are able to pick your entire meal. The waiters/waitresses are all blind, and they then lead you into a dark, dark, incredibly dark room. For some reason, I had assumed that when they said “eating in the dark”, they actually meant “eating in the semi-dark - there’ll be a nightlight of some sort around”. Oh man, I was wrong.
I went with 3 of my girlfriends, but it was really like I was eating alone. I could feel my food, my utensils, and could only gauge the emptiness of my plate with my fingers.
Let me tell you - losing the ability to see - even if it was for just that one hour of my life - was incredibly terrifying. I am uber thankful that I was with them, of all people, to experience this. It makes you grateful for the ability to see.
O.NOIR has 2 locations in Canada: one in Montreal and the other here, in Toronto.
