Pretty… MBMJ Strippy Zippy Hobo

Hot.

Marc by Marc Jacobs Strippy Zippy hobo in black. That’s a pretty hot “running errands” bag.

The year of the jacket.

Miss Sixty Sanchez duck down jacket

I needed a jacket to get me through the -20 degree weather. I only purchase jackets/coats once every 2-3 years, and I don’t own a down feather one yet, so this was perfect… I heart Miss Sixty :)

Boxing Day Triumph.

I have almost always fallen victim to the Boxing Day excitement - you know the type. The “OMG it’s half off, and I kind of like it, but it’s half off so I’ll get it!” and then never wearing it ever. Ever. So lame.

But I have learned!

For that reason alone, I hadn’t planned on going out. But I really, really, really needed a new winter jacket - and I had been eyeing a new Mackage jacket for quite some time.

So, Martin & I suited up, and braved the crowds… and within half an hour of arriving at the store, I purchased it - the Tessy jacket by Mackage in black.

Oh God, it’s so hot. It was also reasonably priced (all things considered, of course). The sleeves are beautiful, the leather belt adds such sexiness and that collar is to-die-for.

And now, we are already home and it’s just past noon. A successful go at the boxing day sales, I’d say!

Hope you’ve all got your animal-instincts on if you’ve also decided to brave the crowds today. And, also hope you all had a good holiday :)

Winter wear

I am in the market for decent winter boots that I can wear on my way to-and-from the gym/yoga studio/etc. Feast your eyes on these babies! Stella McCartney’s Wintersports Salju boots.

How awesome! Except they’re all out of my size :( OF COURSE. Sure, they may be overkill for just walking a few blocks, but hey, they’re gah-geous. I’ll have to run to the store to see if I can fit into any other size (yes I’m desparate).

I may opt for these (they’re on sale!) - the Arosa Hi Sleek shoes

Or I can stop fantasizing and go buy a pair of Sorel boots to get me through the blizzardy days.

I hate winter.

PS: I used to hate google reader, so I reluctantly started using Bloglines. Now that Google Reader’s done some BIG THANGS to their layout, I’m a happy Google Reader convert. Streamline, that’s the word of the year. Email, RSS feeds, Calendar and Docs - all under one happy, shiny roof.

Coach Legacy Reese

I am not usually a fan of Coach - I am not a fan of the monogram pattern and a lot of their leathers just don’t cut it for me (not soft and buttery enough). But, I am truly loving the shape of their Legacy Leather Reese.

Maybe it’s cause of my utter fixation with the combination of leather and metal (oh Chanel, you’re in my heart somewhere) - and, for under $200 a pop, it’s an alright-choice. It makes me wish it were Summer again (because of the colour and the fact that you cannot rock that with the 4 layers of winter-wear nowadays - haha, can you imagine that? a big ass puffer jacket, a long string of scarves suffocating your neck and this tiny ass clutch thing on a chain?)!

Pierre Hardy

Pierre Hardy was a designer that never really caught my eye before. However, BagSnob reported on Pierre Hardy’s Modness clutch - which is oh so very M.C. Escher that I love it! I don’t think I could ever rock it, but it’s just such an homage to some great art that I had to blog about it.

Surfing around Pierre Hardy’s site, there are a ton of handbags that I would totally rock (like this one - it’s very similar to my black patent hype bag I bought a few years ago).

Next time I’m in Paris (HA!), I’ll definitely pop into the Pierre Hardy store. ;)

I love sexy shoes

I love a good shoe - and I have such a thing for sexy (not the “clear plastic” kinds - but the hot ass kinds…. oh you’ll see).

Fendi T-Strap Bubble Platform
I heart T-Straps (such a sexy librarian thing). Now it’s all just a matter of time until it’s my turn to win the lottery…

Guiseppe Zanotti Multicolored Pump

L.A.M.B. Camden Bootie
I could totally rock these with a pair of slim fitting black pants. If I had the guts to wear leather pants, these would be the shoes to make me look even more like a rockstar.

Woohoo! Go Obama! I am incredibly proud of you Americans!

In other news, I am excited about the book I ordered - Fundamentals of Technology Project Management - is that weird?

American Apparel’s Circle Scarf

I love a good item that is versatile to be just about anything I need, and I got a real gift of an e-newsletter from American Apparel this morning - featuring their Unisex Circular Scarf. Hot shit!

You could wear it as a scarf (with less “how do I tie it?” fuss) and as a dress/skirt! I am totally picking one up soonish (definitely in black, but I’d also like another colour - I wish they had cream!). This is a great way to make great use of your dollar in these not-so-stable times.

Happy Friday, folks!
