My new BCBG clutch

Isn’t she gah-geous? GAH-GEOUS.

I had written about her before - but she was on sale! And, she was the last one in stock. So I took her! Took her good! Oh thank you, post-Christmas sales saint! You have made me a happy girl!

The leather is so buttery and soft. It’s a little awkward trying to get things out, but it’s so pretty that I can look past that.

Look at her. Being all shiny and soft and buttery and stuff.

Also, this counts as my Project 365 entry for today :)

Alexander Wang Coco Mini studded duffle

I had some great coffee girl chat with a girlfriend of mine this morning, and we somehow ended up perusing the aisles of Holt Renfrew. I have always liked Alexander Wang’s Coco Mini studded duffle, but I was really drawn to it today… I think I need it… Sigh.

It’s so simple, but yet edgy.

Photos are from net-a-porter.com, but you can no longer buy it from there :(

BCBG Jimmy Wrap clutch

I am on the lookout for a good, buttery clutch - and so far, a top contender is the BCBG Jimmy Wrap clutch. The leather is super buttery and soft, and the shape is incredibly unconventional - I fell in love with it!

I have a thing for bows, so this was an edgy alternative. The zipper is actually located on the side, so no need to unwrap the leather strap hugging the middle to get your hands on your crackberry/iphone/lipgloss.

You can see from the photo above that the size of the entire clutch is pretty large (which is one of the reasons why I have yet to pick it up).

They have it in black, silver, and a fern.

Just saw the movie Orphan with boyfriend - what a creepy concept! I think I am more creeped out by that than I was by Paranormal Activity (though I jumped more than a handful of times).

My new bag - Badgley Mischka Connie

Welcome, Badgley Mischka Platinum Label Connie Athene satchel! Make yourself at home :)

I needed a new black bag, and the gold hardware on this excites my eyes. I have always been a fan of Badgley Mischka, so I’m glad I could add this to the collection.

Available at Sak’s Fifth Avenue.

Also, you’ll notice my clothing rack in the background as well. That’s right, I have overpopulated an entire closet and an additional clothing rack. I have started doing a purge - I usually donate my previously loved goodies to Ontario Federation for Cerebral Palsy; if you’re in the Toronto area, give them a shout! They pick up clothing at your residence.

Boyfriend’s pick: Marc Jacob’s Kari Quilted Tote

Boyfriend & I strolled through Holt’s today and he decided to point out a handbag that he had considered buying for me for my birthday (though, I’m glad he didn’t - I am uber happy with what he actually got me, A+ for thoughtfulness) - and I was actually quite impressed with his choice.

The Marc Jacobs Kari Quilted tote. It was uber cute that he remembered that Marc Jacobs is one of my favourite designers - definite points for that.

He was telling me about the leather and how great the hardware was… Swoon :) Just the thought of him looking for a bag for me made my year.

If your boyfriend had to pick a bag for you, what would it be?

I am lusting for this.

I love leather & studs… so I know I must own this. One day. Stupid recession.

The Rebecca Minkoff Studded Devote bag. You can buy it on the Rebecca Minkoff site (or ShopBop) for a mild $695. If only I knew any retailers in Toronto that sold this bag - I would grope it.

Gah, that’s hot.

Pretty… MBMJ Strippy Zippy Hobo

Hot.

Marc by Marc Jacobs Strippy Zippy hobo in black. That’s a pretty hot “running errands” bag.

Coach Legacy Reese

I am not usually a fan of Coach - I am not a fan of the monogram pattern and a lot of their leathers just don’t cut it for me (not soft and buttery enough). But, I am truly loving the shape of their Legacy Leather Reese.

Maybe it’s cause of my utter fixation with the combination of leather and metal (oh Chanel, you’re in my heart somewhere) - and, for under $200 a pop, it’s an alright-choice. It makes me wish it were Summer again (because of the colour and the fact that you cannot rock that with the 4 layers of winter-wear nowadays - haha, can you imagine that? a big ass puffer jacket, a long string of scarves suffocating your neck and this tiny ass clutch thing on a chain?)!

Pierre Hardy

Pierre Hardy was a designer that never really caught my eye before. However, BagSnob reported on Pierre Hardy’s Modness clutch - which is oh so very M.C. Escher that I love it! I don’t think I could ever rock it, but it’s just such an homage to some great art that I had to blog about it.

Surfing around Pierre Hardy’s site, there are a ton of handbags that I would totally rock (like this one - it’s very similar to my black patent hype bag I bought a few years ago).

Next time I’m in Paris (HA!), I’ll definitely pop into the Pierre Hardy store. ;)
