And I’m glad.
Actually, I’ve gotten more sun this summer than any other in Pretty Cupcake history (and beyond), but I’m ready for that autumn weather. Autumn is my favourite season and I’ll be forever thankful for the chance to break out the leather jackets and boots.
Oh and pants. I miss pants.
Also, I have a pair of Kenneth Cole black suede wedges with leopard accents that are screeeeaming for opaque tights and a wool skirt. Screamingggggg.

I’ve been playing around with my camera a little more. I still don’t know what I’m doing, and I am sure that I annoy the fiancĂ© a great deal with my repetitive questions. One day, fiancĂ©, one day I’ll know what the hell you’re talking about. And I will no longer accuse you of making stuff up :)
They put a big, huge smile on my face.

a bad ass pair of shoes is what is needed!
And bad ass indeed… so incredibly amazing. By far, my absolute favourite pair of shoes in my closet! I cannot get over how awesome the shape is!

Jason Wu… some-kind-of-skin shoes!
Of course, the companion of my fiance & my puppy are also great stress relievers. :) But these babies aren’t bad, either.

Inspiring stuff from Holstee.

Well, birthday gift. To myself :)
(Yes, this post is a month and a half late!)

Yeah, hi! It’s me, pretty cupcake. I’m still around - sort of.
I can’t believe it’s been almost 4 months since my last post and almost nothing has changed.
That’s a lie - I’m another year older! Wiser, too, I’d like to think. And probably fatter. See that delicious deep fried paczki up there? That was my birthday cake. I spent my birthday with my favourite boys (fiance & puppy) at St Lawrence Market, eating deep friend deliciousnesses and enjoying the not-snowy-weather.
It’s a funny thing that my knees ache and I have this strange addiction to arts & crafts.
I have immersed myself in wedding planning, and have spent many a night (tonight included) agonizing over the tiniest, littlest detail… but gosh, I wouldn’t change it for the world. I am totally and utterly addicted. I don’t know what I’m going to do when the day is done and over with! Withdrawals, probably. Withdrawals in the form of paczki.
But don’t fret, pretty things! I am still addicted to shoes… although I mostly just look nowadays. With the exception of the present to myself… that deserves its own post… but probably not anytime soon :)
So there you go.
Hope you’re all holding up! See you all in a few months ;) Heh.
The title can mean either taking a break from the commencement of wedding planning, or taking a break from the snow. Although, I can’t really control the latter.
The wedding isn’t for a while, but I feel as though the planning is in full swing! I am knee-deep in crinoline and organza (both of which I just learned of in the past few weeks), so much so that I swear I had dreams of floating pieces of random fabric in my dreams last night.
The list of stuff to do is growing (and so is the budget), so I’ve been on my best behaviour and have closed my eyes and ignored any and all sale emails, signs and magazines that float my way. I have retired my morning browsing of the regulars over my cup of coffee (net-a-porter, saks fifth avenue, ssense). I’ve even been ignoring all tweets re: [wherever]FW. I’ve been a good little bride.
However, I must indulge in some visuals every once in a while - I’m not perfect.
These Jean-Michel Cazabat sculpted heel wedges are amazing, and are so very spring - something we’re really missing. The detail is impressive. The heel is phenomenal. The colour is on point.

They’re on my list. Except that this list of mine will probably not budge for many, many months. It will not budge until all the white, fluffiness around me settles and I have a brand new name. For now, I can only drool.
Hi everyone!
I’m alive. Busy, but alive. Had a few weeks off and spent it practicing yoga, hitting the gym, and raising my cute ass puppy.
I interrupt the heavenly bliss (that ends tomorrow) with a few satchels that Dr. Martens has released. There are only 350 pieces across the world. They are love-rly and deliciously badass.

It’s been a while…. holidays have come and gone. A new year has started. A puppy has found a new home.
Meet Bailey! Our newest family member. He is a 9 week old Morkie (Maltese & Yorkshire Terrier) and he weighs about 4lbs. He’s the sweetest little pup I have ever laid my eyes on - and he’s so smart! I was never much of an animal person, but he has certainly converted me into a dog lover.
I feel like Maison Martin Margiela should have a doggie line…. no?
Also, I heart Cesar Millan. Dreamboat.
